Community Foundation of Boone County Distributes $33,400 in Grants Community Foundation of Boone County

The Community Foundation of Boone County recently distributed over $33,400 through grant making to support the activities of four local non-profit agencies.

The following grants were approved for the spring grant cycle:

• Whitestown Lions Club, $9,000 for replacement of the fencing of the three baseball diamonds.
• Thorntown Park Board, $3,000 to purchase building materials and for promotional pamphlets to create a recreational trail through Thorntown.
• Boone County 4-H Club, $20,000 (multi-year grant over five years) to provide every rural home or business in Boone County with a reflective address sign with the assistance of 4-H clubs.
• Child Nurturing Alliance, $1,473.69 to purchase Back to the Basics and Recovery Dynamic program materials for New Life: Recovery Home for Men.

The Foundation's grant program areas include education, youth, arts, and human services and community development. Request proposals are reviewed quarterly with the next deadline being June 15 followed by September 15, December 15 and March 15.
