Zionsville Education Foundation Partnership Grants Community Foundation of Boone County

The Zionsville Education Foundation and The Community Foundation of Boone County established a partnership in February streamlining the grant making process. Through this initiative a total of $4,539.42 has recently been distributed to the Zionsville School Corporation. $1,544.50 were funds from the education foundation and $2,994.92 came from the Community Foundation of Boone County.

The following grants were jointly approved:

• Adventures in Reading ­a 3rd grade book club at Eagle Elementary.
• Multi-sensory success in the language arts classroom at ZMS.
• Exploring Baroque Music through the study and performance of Handel's Christmas Messiah at ZUMS.
• Author to "Author" at ZUMS.
• We Aim to Have F.A.I.M. (Fun Adventures in Math) at PVLE.

Under the new guidelines, educators at Zionsville submit all project proposals to their school district's education foundation. The foundation then has the option of seeking help from the Community Foundation of Boone County to match funds or pay a proposal's entire cost. The overall goal of this partnership between the Community Foundation of Boone County and the Zionsville Education Foundation is to improve the educational programming in Boone County.
