What:	Grants of up to $300 are available to local non-profit organizations and to public school teachers grades K-12 to enhance the arts in the community. Fifteen grants will be awarded on a first come first serve basis. This grant is for items/equipment that has long term impact: not just for one time use. Examples: microphones, sheet music, costumes, permanent backdrops, electronic equipment, etc. The purpose of this granting initiative is to enhance the availability of the performing and visual arts in Boone County through music, theatre, dance, & visual arts. Our goal is to allow teachers or non-profits to become creative without being hindered by cost.
Who:	Any non-profit organization or public school teacher, K-12, in Lebanon, Sheridan, Western Boone, and Zionsville school corporations is eligible to apply. Grants will be limited to one per non-profit or three per school.
How:	We've made it easy! Simply fax in a description of your idea on non-profit organization's or school's letterhead, including the following information:
	Date of submission, in bold, at the top of the faxed request; Name of Non-profit Organization or School and District Name, Address, Telephone and Fax Numbers; Contact person's name and title, and grade level if teacher and e-mail address; Total Amount Requested; Description and duration of the Project; Item by item listing of how the money will be spent: Number of community members or students benefiting. Itemized costs of resources to be purchased by grant. Applications must be signed by both the non-profit contact person and president of the organization or the submitting teacher and the school principal. There is no need to send a cover sheet with your fax.
Deadline:	Only faxed proposals between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.* on October 3, 2005 will be considered* ~ awards are limited.
