The Community Foundation of Boone County recently awarded over $9,000.00 in grants to the arts community. There was an overwhelming response to the art, music & theatre creativity fax grants. Non-profits and public school teachers, pre-K through grade 12 in Boone County were given the opportunity to receive a $300 grant to enhance the arts in the community. The grant funds were available on a first come first serve basis on October 2. The purpose of this granting initiative was to enhance the availability of the performing and visual arts in Boone County through music, theatre, dance, & visual arts.
