28 October 2004
The Community Foundation of Boone County recently awarded over $7,500 in grants to the arts community. There was an overwhelming response to the first ever art, music & theatre creativity fax grants. Not for profits and public school teachers grades K-12 in Boone County were given the opportunity to receive a $300 grant to enhance the arts in the community. The grant funds were available on a first come first serve basis beginning October 1. The purpose of this granting initiative was to enhance the availability of the performing and visual arts in Boone County through music, theatre, dance, & visual arts.
