The James S. Eggers Carpe Diem Award was recently established at the Community Foundation of Boone County. This scholarship was established by Greg and Janet Ostendorf to honor a great educator, Jim Eggers. Jim has made an outstanding contribution to education and to the well being of ZCHS students. Currently he holds the position in the Zionsville Community School Corporation of Academic Services Director. Of his 37 years in education, 34 have been spent making a difference within the Zionsville schools as a teacher, coach and principal. Jim Eggers is highly respected among the students, staff and families within the community. Jim truly believes "It's all about the kids."
