The family of Steve Ledvina has recently established a scholarship in his memory at the Community Foundation of Boone County. Steve had a heart for those who have disabilities and who truly believed in giving back to the community. He loved being with his special needs son and his friends. Steve was a supporter of Best Buddies and Special Olympics and was active in his community until he lost his life with cancer.
This new scholarship is for a Zionsville Community High school student who will be attending a 4 year public or private college or university. It is unique as the applicant must be active with other students who have special needs by being involved in the Best Buddies club, Special Olympics, being a peer facilitator or mentor and also a volunteer in the community.
The complete criteria and application for the scholarship can be found on the Scholarship area of the Community Foundation of Boone County's web site, in the guidance department offices, and the local Boone County libraries.
We thank the family of Steve Ledvina for setting up this scholarship endowment fund at the Community Foundation of Boone County so the income will forever benefit a ZCHS student. The Community Foundation of Boone County continues its mission of providing pathways for connecting people who care with causes that matter for now and in the future.
