28 May 2008 - The Community Foundation of Boone County (CFBC) is seeking an Executive Director to provide professional leadership to a small qualified staff and a committed volunteer board of directors, provide daily operations management and promote fund development.

14 July 2003 - The Community Foundation of Boone County is proving true the old adage when the going gets tough, the tough get going by receiving a grant from the California- based Packard Foundation for an expert, Bill Somerville, to evaluate its programs and consult on future plans. In addition, the foundation will host a series of events featuring special guest Somerville in Lebanon July 28-29.

The CFBC has announced a new funding initiative that will encourage a closer partnership between the CFBC, and Boone County education foundations and their respective schools.
8 July 2002 - The Community Foundation of Boone County granted $1,025 to the Zionsville Historical Society in 1999 to compile material for their book project, entitled Early Businesses in Zionsville, Indiana. Ten books were able to be made with the funds and are now in process of being distributed.

Scholarship time will be here soon! The upcoming deadlines are February 16, 2001 for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. All other applications administered by The Community Foundation of Boone County are due March 1st. Visit the Community Foundation Scholarship pages for the application forms and requirements. (The updated application forms on the CFBC site can be filled out on-screen in Acrobat and then printed.) All of the information can also be found in the guidance departments of Lebanon High School, Sheridan High School, Western Boone Jr. Sr. High School and Zionsville Community High School or at your local library.

Anne's Angel of Hope Fund was established by Anne Ayres Kennedy for breast cancer treatment and research. She wanted the funds to be used to give women the best and most aggressive treatment options available.
