Established By: By bequest in 1914 of William Higgins, and named after his deceased son Buren. This trust is to provide support "in aiding worthy young men in procuring such collegiate education either technical or literary..."
Date Established: 1914; transferred to the Community Foundation of Boone County in 1993 for perpetual administration.

Special Preference: Open to male students only.
Financial Need: Yes—Provide a completed College Cost Estimator and Boone County release form (PDF 388K) in a sealed envelope and return it to the guidance department.
