Background

Established By: In memory and honor of Edward K. Castetter, who attended Thorntown High School and played an active leadership role in the community. After retiring from his career as a chemical engineer with Proctor and Gamble, Mr. Castetter returned home and served as a board member of Witham Hospital Foundation, a member of the Thorntown Lions Club, a member of Boone County Leadership, and a Trustee for Boone County.

Residency: Boone County, Indiana
Nomination: Each principal at every Boone County high school nominates one student from their respective high school.
Diploma: Boone County high school
Enrollment: Any accredited* public or private college or university
*(Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.)
Specialized Study: No
Special Characteristics: Exhibiting characteristics similar to Mr. Castetter, such as a positive attitude, dedication, perseverance, pride and leadership
Special Preference: No
Financial Need: Yes
Minimum GPA: 2.5 (4.0 system)
