Background

Established By: Charlotte Tyre was a life time resident of Boone County. She was a 10 year 4-H member and the first female member of the male Boone County 4-H program. She proudly showed champion Angus beef locally and at the state fair. Charlotte was a dedicated community volunteer for many organizations including Riley Children’s Hospital, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, First Presbyterian Church, DAR, Ulen Country Club, Psi Iota Xi service sorority, and the Order of Eastern Star.

Diploma: Lebanon High School, Western Boone High School, and Zionsville Community High School
Enrollment: Only at PURDUE UNIVERSITY, West Lafayette, IN: College of Agriculture
Specialized Study: No
Special Characteristics: Demonstrated leadership skills through involvement in extracurricular activities
Special Preference: Previous member of 4-H—please provide copy of 4-H record sheet.
Financial Need: Yes—Provide a completed College Cost Estimator and Boone County release form (PDF 388K) in a sealed envelope and return it to the guidance department.
Minimum GPA: “B” average during high school

Award Received

Tuition & Fees: $8,000 one time for tuition and room & board
