Background

Established By: Funds from the home building business of Crossmann Communities. Fund was formerly called "Crossmann Communities Scholarship for Lebanon Schools" and was re-named after past-president, Richard Crosser, passed away in 2002. Richard Crosser had stated when the scholarship was first established, "We've spent many years in the home-building business and we thought there was something more we could do to benefit our customers and their children."

Requirements / Selection Criteria

Residency: Boone County, Indiana
Diploma: Lebanon High School
Enrollment: Any accredited* Indiana public or private college, university, or trade/vocational school.
*(Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.)
Specialized Study: Two or four year degree in structural engineering, architecture, building trades, drafting, business, finance, accounting, real estate, or other field related to building trades.
Special Characteristics: A strong work ethic and commitment to school and/or community.
Special Preference: Resident in a Crossmann home
Financial Need: No
Minimum GPA: 2.5 (4.0 system)
Written Essay: No

Finalist Interview: No

Tuition & Fees: $730 (amount awarded in (2006-07)
Method: Check made payable directly to college or university.
