Scholarship Announcement

At this time, all deadlines for the 2008 scholarship season have passed. Please check back in November of 2008 for information for the 2009 scholarship cycle. Applications will be available in November and will be due in January through April based on the specific scholarship for which you are applying.

Scholarship Application and Recommendation Forms

Important: these forms are in Portable Document Format (PDF) and require the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software to view and print. In addition, these application forms can be filled out on-screen using the Adobe Acrobat Reader software and then printed or saved. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Renewal Requirements

To qualify for renewal of multi-year scholarship awards (maximum 4 years), student must:

  1. Provide evidence of full-time enrollment.
  2. Be properly classified (i.e. 2nd year=sophomore)
  3. Maintain at least 2.5 GPA on 4.0 scale.
Renewal request must be made by June 15th each year. A copy of your transcript is required.

If you transfer to another university at any time, notify The Foundation immediately so the scholarship funds can be sent to the appropriate place.

Further, the Foundation shall reserve the right to refuse to renew the scholarship if the recipient should conduct himself/herself in such a manner that it would result and reflect an unfavorable image upon The Community Foundation and the scholarship program.

Scholarship Deferral Policy

If a student recipient of a Community Foundation scholarship delays enrollment until second semester, that student shall retain full scholarship privileges as long as he/she maintains eligibility with the school.

If a student recipient of a Community Foundation scholarship delays enrollment for one full year, that student must write a letter explaining the delay and requesting deferral of the scholarship payment for one year. The Foundation Board retains sole discretion regarding approval of deferral requests.
