Community Foundation Scholarship Donor Reception Community Foundation of Boone County

The Community Foundation of Boone County hosted a scholarship donor reception at Ulen Country Club this week where community leaders and current and past scholarship recipients met. In 2006, the Community Foundation of Boone County awarded $200,000 in scholarships from various donors and organizations throughout the county.

In addition, two Lilly Endowment Community Scholarships were awarded with a total value of $70,000 making the overall value in scholarships for Boone County $270,000. Seventy-seven total scholarships and awards were given. These were made by possible by the many donors who live in this community and organizations who want to make a difference in the lives of students.

This reception is just one way that the Community Foundation of Boone County reflects it mission of "providing pathways for connecting people who care with causes that matter for now and in the future."
