The Community Impact Fund (CIF) is the Community Foundation of Boone County’s largest unrestricted endowment pool of dollars and can be used for various projects, programs and initiatives that improve the quality of life in Boone County.
Community Impact Fund dollars are used for our twice-a-year competitive grants cycle for nonprofits serving Boone County residents. This fund also helps to support the Community Foundation’s work itself, community projects and is flexible, to change as the county needs change from year to year. Community Impact Funds are sometimes awarded in conjunction with our other unrestricted funds and field of interest funds so we can make bigger grants to give nonprofits even greater capacity.
