Gifts to community endowment funds allow you to support specific types of needs, such as the arts, women/girls, local communities and other vital areas of interest. If you’re looking for a specific nonprofit organization’s fund, you’ll find those here.
Community Arts Endowment
Established in 1992 by the Zionsville Kiwanis and supported annually by the Lebanon’s Back to the 50’s festival, to support and encourage arts in Boone County.
Michael T. Hodges Musical Instrument Endowment Fund
Established in 2015 by Chad Perdue & Whitney Hodges (siblings of Michael) to provide musical instruments for the Lebanon Middle School Band Department for students who cannot afford them.
Aaron Stookey Spirit of Philanthropy Award
Established in 1996 by the Community Foundation Board of Directors to encourage and promote charitable giving.
Lionel Dubay Youth Sports Award
Established in 1993 by Gwen Dubay to provide support and to improve and enhance amateur sports in the Zionsville Community.
Zionsville Band and Orchestra Musical Instrument Endowment Fund
Established in 2012 and administered by Play On Zionsville, Inc. to provide long term funding for the purchase of music instruments necessary to support the Zionsville Community High School instrumental music programs.
SullivanMunce Cultural Center Fund
Established in 2016 by Kelly Masoncup to provide support to SullivanMunce Cultural Center.
Mr. & Mrs. John H. Holliday Fund
Established in 2007 to improve the quality of life in Boone County.
Hutoka Lacey Estate Fund
Established in 2002 by the estate of Hutoka Lacey to provide support for non-profit organizations in Boone County.
Patricia Smith Foster Jackson Township Fund
Established in 2006 to provide grants to Jackson Township in Boone County to promote adult literacy, historical heritage and sense of community.
Jay Martin Children’s Fund
Established in 2008 with the primary purpose of providing funds to chidlren in need and children deprived of basic social rights and security through poverty and discrimination. This fund supports programming for the poor, disabled and organizations supporting non-discrimination in our community.
Lunch Angel Program
Established in 2007 by Wendy Lawrence to provide equality in meals to support the emotional and physical needs of children.
Suzanne’s Fund for Children
Established in 2007 to assist children and teens in families with a chronic or severe illness to pursue opportunities in education, arts, sports and special activities.
Boone County Pre-School Endowment Fund
Established in 2009 with funds from the CAPE grant to support at risk preschool age children in the Lebanon and Western Boone school districts.
Boje Environmental Fund
Established in 2012 by the Boje family, the fund provides support for non-profit groups, organizations, local governments, and schools for environmental projects.
Zionsville Greenspace Foundation Fund
Established in 1999 by the Zionsville Park and Recreation Board for acquisition of real estate and/or conservation easements for park or nature preserve use.
Wayne L. Smith Fund
Established in 2009 by E. Brent Smith to provide support for agricultural interests and education.
Women’s Fund of Boone County
Established in 2006 to support the Helping Hands Emergency Women’s Shelter and to provide grants to Boone County organizations that promote intellectual, physical, emotional, social economic and spiritual growth for women of all ages.
Andrew Baker Scholarship
Established in 2011 by Lynn Stokely to provide scholarship assistance to a graduating senior from Zionsville Community High School who has taken music courses in high school and plans to continue with their music interest in college, either as their major or minor subject.
Ben Brimmer Memorial Arts Scholarship
Established in 2000 by Brian Schmutzler to provide scholarships to qualified students deserving financial assistance and likely to succeed in an arts program.
Bobby Hysong Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2005 by the Green Ribbon Safety Committee to provide scholarships to qualified students deserving financial assistance.
Boone County Agricultural Scholarship
Established in 1996 by George and Nancy Morton and the citizens of Boone County to provide scholarship assistance to post-high school students pursuing education in agriculture-related fields.
Buren Endowment Fund
Established in 1993 by the Buren Fund Advisory Committee to provide scholarships to males in Boone County per the original William Higgins Trust.
Charles “Pete” Paddock Athletic Scholarship
Established by the community in 2006 to provide a scholarship to a senior athlete at Zionsville Community High School who displays the positive spirit Mr. Paddock exemplified.
Charles “Pete” Paddock Performing Arts Scholarship
Established by the community in 2006 to provide scholarships to senior performing arts students involved in Band, Orchestra or Choir at Zionsville Community School who display the positive spirit Mr. Paddock exemplified.
Charlotte Carr Tyre
Established in 2004 by Charlotte Carr Tyre to provide support to students graduating from a Boone County high school and enrolled in Purdue University in the College of Agriculture.
Chuck Keraga Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2009 by the Zionsville Little League to provide two scholarships annually to ZCHS seniors who have played at least three seasons in the Zionsville Little League and are students in good standing.
Community Foundation Scholarship Fund
Established in 2003 to accept donations for general scholarships.
Darrell Portell 4-H Scholarship
Established by Barbara Portell in 1998 to provide scholarships for 4-H members.
Entrepreneurial Scholarship Fund in honor of Lloyd & Jane Taylor
Established in 1992 by Jeffrey H. and Benita L. Thomasson to provide a scholarship for a Zionsville High School student.
Eugene O. and Mabel Higgins Fund
Established in 1997 by Mabel Higgins to provide scholarships to qualified students deserving of financial assistance for the Higgins & Washburn scholarships.
Family Music Studio Scholarship
Established in 2005 by Barbara A. Walters to provide scholarships to students deserving financial assistance.
Florence Gruver Memorial Scholarship
Established in 1995 by Robert V. Copeland to provide support to scholarships for Boone County High School students.
Harold and Evelyn Rice Scholarship
Established in 1995 by Patricia and Morris D. Ramsey to provide support to Dover Christian Church members for Bible studies.
Harold Eugene Wagner Wrestling Scholarship
Established in 2000 by the friends and family of Harold Eugene Wagner to provide scholarship to students deserving of financial assistance and participated in the Zionsville High School wrestling program.
Homer and Gwendolen Fix Memorial Scholarship
Established in 1995 by Samuel V. Fix to provide support as directed by the Board of Directors for educational scholarships for students who participated in athletic programs of Zionsville Community Middle Schools through High School and exhibit good moral character.
Isenhower Family Educational Scholarship Fund
Established in 2016 by Angela Battisti & Rick Isenhower, this fund honors the late Richard & Pat Isenhower to provide educational scholarships to Lebanon High School students who have overcome obstacles and adversity. Preference to those who have been participants in the Boone County Mentoring Partnership, LHS’s AVID program or other similar mentoring program and those pursing a degree or certification in the fields of health care, education, the nonprofit sector or community service industries. Trade or vocation students who demonstrate a strong desire to give back to the Boone County community will also be considered.
James Holman Carr and Pauline Neel Carr Scholarship
Established in 2004 by Charlotte Carr Tyre to provide renewable scholarships to Purdue University in the amount of $4,000 per year.
James S. Eggers Carpe Diem Award
Established in 2007 to provide scholarships to qualified students deserving financial assistance.
Jay Martin Vocational Scholarship Fund
Established in 2007 through the estate of Verlyn “Jay” Martin to benefit students pursuing a two year vocational or technical trade school degree or certificate.
Jared A. Kerr Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2015 by Angela Kerr to provide educational scholarships for students who are accepted into and attend accredited two or four year public or private institutions of higher learning. In particular, such students must meet the following qualifications: Be a graduating senior from Lebanon High School with a B-average. Applicant must have participated in at least 1 year of high school band. All applicants must be attending an accredited school seeking a degree in music, music production, music appreciation or music education.
John Whitney Roth, III Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2006 by the friends and family of John Whitney Roth to provide scholarships to students graduating from Zionsville Community High School who will attend the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN.
Joseph K. Tyre and Charlotte Carr Tyre Scholarship
Established in 2004 by Charlotte Carr Tyre to provide support to a graduate from a Boone County High School and enrolled in Wabash College.
Knebel Family Nursing Scholarship
Established in 2008 by Donald and Jennifer Knebel to provide scholarships to qualified graduating high school students deserving of financial assistance and who plan on pursuing a degree in nursing and will either graduate from Zionsville Community High School or Lebanon High School and are likely to succeed at an accredited nursing school in Indiana.
Lawrence & Nellie Bailey Scholarship Fund
Established by the family of Dr. Lawrence and Nellie Bailey in 2007 to provide scholarships to qualified Zionsville High school students pursuing a career in medicine or a medical-related field.
Leah Cooper McMillan Memorial Softball Scholarship Fund
Established in memory of Leah Cooper McMillan in 2008 by her family to provide a scholarship to a Zionsville Community High School senior who has played softball at ZCHS.
Megan Suzanne Hammerle Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established in 2015 by Richard and Amy Hammerle to provide educational scholarships for students who are accepted into and attend an accredited two or four year public or private institution of higher learning. In particular, recipient should be a Lebanon High School graduating senior with a B-average and either a four year member of the LHS cross country team or 4 year member of LHS band program.
Ms. Dorothy Roby & Yolanda Cox Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2000 by the friends of Ms. Dorothy Roby and Yolanda Cox to provide scholarships to qualified students deserving of financial assistance.
Norma and Ed Castetter Memorial Scholarship
Established in 1997 by Mr. Edward K. Castetter, to provide awards to qualified students who demonstrate leadership qualities in athletics or farming.
Oliver L. Warner Educational Scholarship Fund
Established in 2016 by Jeffrey H. Thomasson to provide educational scholarships for students who are accepted into and attend an accredited two or four year public or private institution of higher learning. In particular, the recipient must be a Zionsville High School senior, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in education related degree, have a 3.0 GPA or above with a completed essay explaining his/her career plans that include a focus on education
Pliny & Mildred Randall Scholarship Fund of Western Boone High School
Established in 1994 by Western Boone School Corporation to provide scholarships for Western Boone Students.
Psi Iota Xi, Omega Chapter, Malpas Scholarship
Established in 1999 by Psi Iota Xi, Omega Chapter to provide scholarships to female Lebanon High School graduating seniors.
Richard H. Crosser Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2001 by Crossmann Communities to provide scholarships for students graduating from Lebanon High School pursuing a degree in structural engineering, architecture, building trades, drafting, business, finance, accounting, real estate, or some other field related to building trades at an Indiana college or university.
Steve Ledvina Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2007 by Susan Irwin to provide scholarships to qualified students actively involved in making a positive difference in the lives of people with special needs.
Stonehill Scholarship Fund
Established in 1999 by Robert and Marjorie Stonehill to provide scholarships to qualified students deserving of financial assistance.
The Carl H. Witt Trust
Established in 1998 by Carl Witt to provide scholarships to qualified students deserving of financial assistance and are of good moral character.
The Honorable Allen F. Wharry Scholarship
Established in 1995 by the Wharry Family to provide scholarship to qualified students from Boone County and attending Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis.
Theodore Husting Morden D.P.M. Wrestling Scholarship Fund
Established in 2005 by Robert M. Palmer, M.D., Institute of Biomechanics, Inc., in honor of Dr. Theodore Husting Morden to provide scholarships to qualified students involved with high school wrestling at Zionsville High School.
Thomas E. Gruhl Scholarship
Established in 1993 by Thomas Gruhl to provide scholarship awards to students or teachers of Zionsville Community Schools.
Thomas G. Slama Scholarship Fund
Established in 1994 by Thomas G. Slama, M.D., F.A.C.P. to provide scholarships to students graduating from Zionsville High School pursuing graduate studies in the field of medical studies.
Todd Getty Memorial Mental Attitude Award
Established in 1993 by John and Barbara Getty to make an annual scholarship award to a graduating Zionsville High School senior.
Tom Bauman Memorial Scholarship
Established in 1993 by the Zionsville High School Athletic Department recognizing Zionsville High School athletes.
Vocal Music Scholarship in Honor of Aaron and Cathy Coates & in Memory of Lindsay Van Dyke
Established in 2003 by Debra Givan to provide scholarships to qualified students who have participated in the Vocal Music Program at Zionsville High School.
Zionsville Booster Club Scholarship
Established in 1998 to provide scholarships to student athletes graduating from Zionsville Community High School.
Zionsville Community High School Distance Running Scholarship
Established in 2010 to provide a scholarship for a graduating ZHCS senior as a reward for being an outstanding distance runner.
Zionsville Optimist Club Scholarship
Established in 2000 by the Zionsville Optimist Club to provide scholarships to qualified students.
Zionsville Volunteer Fire Department, Larry K. Rust Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2009 by the family ZVFD and the Rust family to provide scholarships for a graduating senior, living in Boone County, who plans to pursue a career in public service and/or engineering who is active in his/her community.
